Parks and Recreation
The City of Hillsdale Recreation Department administers most of the organized sports programs in the area, including baseball, volleyball, basketball, and football in both adult and youth categories.
Senior Programs
Although the City Recreation Department does not offer
Senior Programs at this time, the Department works closely with
Perennial Park (Hillsdale County Senior Services Center).
City representation is present on the Center's Programming
Committee enabling the two to collaborated efforts to provide
recreational opportunites to seniors. For more information

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Youth Basketball Registration - K-3rd
Join the fun! A special kick - off with the Hillsdale
Chargers Basketball Team gets this program started on
Sun., Oct. 22nd at the Hillsdale College Field House from
10am -Noon. Coach John Tharp and the Chargers offer this
day of hands on training followed by pizza! The program
offers five more weeks of instruction on basic fundamentals of
basketball through drills, contests and scrimmages in order to
prepare children for team play.
Boys/Girls Basketball Registration - 3rd -6th Grade
Boys/Girls 3rd -6th Basketball Skills training Nov. 1st - 3rd at Davis Middle School Lower gym 6-7:30pm. Teams will be created by the end of the week and coaches will contact their players for practice. Round Robins will be played on Saturdays for 4-5 Saturdays (depending on the number of teams). If you are interested in coaching, please state so on your registration form. This is an opportunity for some good, hard basketball without alot of time committment and is a great way for kids to prepare for travel leagues.

Floor and Roller Hockey
Floor and Roller Hockey Grades K-6 Kids will have the
option of playing on skates or on the floor!
Soccer Registration
Futsal (Five-A-Side Indoor Soccer) Grades 6-9 Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays 5:30-6:45 pm at the Davis Middle School
Lower Gym. This first of two programs will be an intense
session with a set curriculum meant to build session upon session
to develop skills and let the game be the teacher.
6 - 9 Registration
The second session (Grades 3-6 ) will run for six weeks (January 31 - March 10) on Mondays and Thursdays, 5:30-6:45pm at Hillsdale Preparatory School. The format will be short technical sessions emphasizing individual skills and possession followed by play.

CONGRATULATIONS PINK PANTHERS!! On
Saturday, March 19th the Team Captain Debbie Yearling and the A
League Pink Panthers traveled to Spring Arbor College to
compete in the MRPA State Tournament and came home with 1st
place. Great playing ladies! The Pink Panthers also
ended the 2011 season with the League title and runner up in
tournament play.
JONESVILLE HEALTH CARE walked away the 2011 Tournament Champions.
COUNTRY CARPETS 2 time B League Champions in 2011. Enjoy A League next year ladies!

Youth Tennis Grades K-8. This is a 5 day instructional
camp for Pee Wees (K-3) and Juniors (4-8). All participants
will receive a set of tennis balls and a t-shirt. Tennis
rackets will be provided if needed for an additional fee
(registration fee is $45, $60 if a racket is needed). Come
and join in on the fun and learning with instructors Sarah VanOrman
and MacKenzie Hill!
