Due to the recent severe weather conditions and resulting damage, the City of Hillsdale Department of Public Services will provide curbside collection of storm damaged trees/ brush beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010.

The City of Hillsdale provides a collection site for leaves, grass clippings and brush located on Waterworks Ave. The following are the policies for the use of the Compost Site.

The City of Hillsdale, Department of Public Services is currently accepting bids for the purchase of one (1) Zero Turn Lawn Mower. These bids will be received by the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 97 N. Broad St Hillsdale, Michigan 49242 until 10:00 am Local Time on Monday, June 14, 2010. No bids will be received after said time on said date. Immediately thereafter, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Room on the 3rd floor in Hillsdale City Hall.

The City of Hillsdale, MI Public Services Department is currently accepting bids for the sale of City equipment. These bids shall be received by the City Clerk's Office, Hillsdale City Hall, Hillsdale, Michigan 49242 until 10:00 AM Local Time on Monday, June 14, 2010. No bids will be received after said time on said date. Immediately thereafter, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers in Hillsdale City Hall.

The 2010 season for the Mrs. Stock's Park Concert Series will begin on June 22, 2010.

Attached are the 2010 Sidewalk Special Assessment Districts for 2010. District 2010-1 includes Hillsdale/Garden/Mead Streets; District 2010-2 includes Willow Street; and District 2010-3 includes the Trevathan area.

The City of Hillsdale, MI Public Services Department is currently accepting bids for the sale of City equipment.

The City of Hillsdale will receive sealed proposals at the Office of the City Clerk, Hillsdale City Hall, 97 N. Broad Street, Hillsdale, Michigan 49242 until 10:00 a.m. on April 7, 2010 for mowing services at the Field of Dreams.

The City of Hillsdale Department of Public Services will provide curbside residential collection of brush beginning on Monday, April 5th.

The City of Hillsdale’s Public Service Department will collect discarded natural Christmas Trees for recycling again this year. The trees will be chipped and used as mulch around trees in city parks and cemeteries, as well as being accessible to Hillsdale residents. No artificial trees will be accepted. The city requires that all plastic covers, decorations and tree stands be removed prior to placement at the curb. The following schedule is tentative due to the possibility of severe weather conditions.

Hillsdale City Clerk Parke Hayes announced that as there is a vacancy for the Ward One Council seat held by Mayor Doug Moon, a City election will be held on February 23, 2010 to fill that vacant council seat.

It’s leaf collection time! And once again the Hillsdale Public Services Department will be collecting leaves from all city streets. The City has been divided into 4 sections (based on ward numbers) with each being assigned a specific collection period.

For your convenience, we have installed a drop box outside the main entrance to City Hall. You can use this for payment of taxes or other City bills (excluding BPU payments) outside of normal business hours.
