Board of Review

The purpose of the Board is to review property tax assessments.

Meeting Dates:

The second session of the Board shall convene on the second Monday of March at 9:00 a.m., and shall continue in session during the day and the day following for not less than six (6) hours on each said day to consider appeals from taxpayers and review the current year assessment roll.

The Board also meets Tuesday following the third Monday in July and Tuesday following the second Monday in December to correct qualified errors - http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?mcl-211-53b

Membership:

Qualified freeholders who are electors of the City, and who may hold other City office or employment, who serve as members of the Board of Review, and shall set their compensation at the time of their appointment.
