Hillsdale Municipal Airport

The Hillsdale Municipal Airport is a State of Michigan licensed "Public Use-General Utility Airport." The runway was recently reconstructed and expanded to 5000 ft x 100 ft. The crowned and grooved construction offers superior drainage for excellent braking/steering characteristics and the weight bearing capacity rating has been increased up to the "Gulfstream" category of business aircraft.

A new concrete apron 535 ft. x 179 ft. was built in 2017 to prepare for future terminal building and hangar sites. A new fueling facility was built on the apron in 2021 with 24-hour self serve Avgas 100LL and Jet A with additive fuel available. The airport also has a fuel truck with single point capabilities. We are an Avfuel brand dealer of fuel with quality assurance of our product. Contract fuel is available and we can handle all credit cards and fueling cards.

The airport is accessed via two instrument approaches (VOR, GPS) with an additional two WAAS based GPS approaches. These approaches significantly improve access and safety during inclement weather conditions. Weather conditions at the airport are continuously monitored and broadcast by AWOS-3 automated weather observation station.

The current terminal building offers a heated and air-conditioned public waiting area, conference room, kitchen with snacks, coffee, and water, public restrooms and free public Wi-Fi internet service. Access to the terminal building is available 24 hours a day with the CTAF/Unicom frequency code to enter the building.
