Automatic Payment Service
Have one less thing to worry about each month and never miss a payment! To sign up for automatic payments with your checking or savings account, please print the form located below and deliver it to our office with the completed information.
Please note that to make any changes to your automatic payment information you will need to fill out a new Automatic Bill Payment Enrollment Form for us to process. Unfortunately, there is no way for our customers to update their automatic payment information online at this time.

Online Payment Service
Payments can be made online through Pay My Bill. You will need to know your account number and PIN to use our Online Payment Service. Both can be found on your utility bill. If you need us to provide you with your account number or PIN, please email customerservice@hillsdalebpu.com with your name and service address.
24/7 Drop Box
We have a drop box located on the exterior of our office at 45 Monroe Street in Hillsdale. It is available 24/7. Please note that payments deposited in the drop box are not processed until the following business day.

To help our Customer Service Team process payments more efficiently, please detach and send in your bill stub with your payment, or write your account number on the check’s memo line or envelope.
Automated Phone Payment
You can pay by phone with a credit card by utilizing our Automated Phone Attendant. To get started, call (855) 798-1549. You can also call the BPU main office line at (517) 437-3387 and select option 2 from the automated menu when prompted. There is a third-party convenience fee for credit card payments, which is 3% of the transaction amount or $2.95 minimum, whichever is greater.
In Person
Our office is conveniently located at 45 Monroe Street in Hillsdale, one block north of East Carleton Road between West Street and Hillsdale Street.
You may pay by cash, check, money order or credit card at our Customer Service Department between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
There is a third-party convenience fee for credit card payments, which is 3% of the transaction amount or $2.95 minimum, whichever is greater.
Budget Billing
We offer a budget billing plan (level billing over 12 months – reviewed one to two times per year, or as needed). In order to be eligible for budget billing, the customer must also be enrolled in our Preauthorized Payment Plan (Auto Pay).
